In the summer of 2022, concern began to grow for a man named Henry Paul McAdam, a member of the Big River First Nation in Saskatchewan. At 49 years old, Henry was last seen on July 14, 2022, in the city of Prince Albert. He was known to have a transient and high-risk lifestyle and often used housing resources available for the homeless. Ten days after he was last seen, on July 24, 2022, a member of his family officially reported him as a missing person. At the time of his disappearance, Henry was described as being 5'8" tall and weighing 157 pounds, with a slender build, a mustache and goatee, and short black and grey hair. The last time anyone saw him, he was in the 500 Block of 15 Street East, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and white Nike shoes. As the days turned into weeks and then months, there was still no sign of Henry. The Prince Albert Police Service was in charge of the investigation into his disappearance. While the circumstances surrounding his vanishing were unsettling, authorities initially stated that there was no indication of foul play. The lack of information and the passage of time did little to ease the minds of his loved ones and community, who were left to wonder what could have happened to him after he was last seen in Prince Albert. Over a year after he was last seen, a renewed effort to find answers brought Henry's case back into the public eye. On October 12, 2023, volunteers and members of the Prince Albert Police conducted a search for any sign of him. The search was concentrated in a wooded area located to the east of Princess Auto in Prince Albert, prompting an increased police presence in that part of the city for the day. The case of Henry Paul McAdam is a somber reminder of the many individuals who go missing, leaving behind families and communities searching for answers. His disappearance prompted a police investigation and a physical search of a specific area of interest, yet his whereabouts remain unknown.
