At the time of his disappearance, he was described as a Native male, standing 5'5' tall and weighing 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
The day he went missing, he was reportedly out on the water in a boat, a common activity in the picturesque yet vast landscape of northern Saskatchewan.
The initial search for Louie began after concerns were raised about his failure to return. The discovery of the boat he had been using, found beached on Fir Island, intensified the worry among his family and friends.
