In the summer of 2005, a trip to the east coast of Canada for a 29-year-old man from British Columbia took an unsettling turn, leaving his family with unanswered questions that have lingered for years. Shenchiu "Andy" Tsou, a resident of Richmond, was last seen on June 26, 2005, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He had traveled to the area for business and was also known to have several acquaintances in Halifax and other parts of the province. In the days leading up to his disappearance, Tsou had been staying at both the Halifax Casino Hotel and other private homes.

On the day he vanished, Tsou had a reservation to stay at the Halifax Casino Hotel, but he never arrived to check in. Concern grew when his family was unable to make contact with him, and on June 30, 2005, four days after he was last seen, his wife officially reported him missing to the authorities. The vehicle he had been using during his time in Halifax, a rented white 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, also disappeared and has never been located.

The investigation into Shenchiu Andy Tsou's disappearance remains an active and open case with the Halifax Regional Police. Over the years, authorities have continued to appeal to the public for any information, no matter how small it may seem, that could help shed light on what happened to him. His case is included in the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, which offers a significant financial reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for his disappearance. The mysterious vanishing of a man and his rental car from a busy city has left a void in the lives of his loved ones, an enduring mystery that investigators hope to one day solve.
