On January 27, 1989, 22-year-old Russell Paul Gulino was last seen aboard the M/V Alaska Packer, which was anchored in Akutan Bay, Alaska. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, blue pants, and tennis shoes. An extensive search was conducted, but no trace of Gulino was ever found, leading to the presumption that he had drowned.
The case is being handled by the Alaska State Troopers, and Gulino is listed in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons
