On June 27, 1987, 54-year-old Rhody Kay Launders was last seen in the vicinity of Iliamna, Alaska. He, along with another man, departed from the Kenai River on a houseboat with the intended destination of Iliamna Bay. This was the last known time anyone had contact with Launders. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as a White/Caucasian male, standing at 68 inches tall and weighing approximately 250 pounds. He had black hair and brown eyes.
