In the early summer of 1985, the tight-knit community of Metlakatla, Alaska, was forever changed by the disappearance of 28-year-old Gerald D. Lauth. On June 7th, Gerald, an American Indian/Alaska Native man, was last seen in the Annette Island Reservation community. At the time of his disappearance, he stood at 5 feet 10 inches and weighed around 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
