In the summer of 1974, a tragic boating accident on Skilak Lake, near the mouth of the Kenai River in Alaska, led to the disappearance of nine-year-old Daniel Lee Wood. On July 18th, the young boy, who was from Soldotna, was involved in an incident on the water.
