Kimberly R. Alcorn, 54, was killed inside her Greenwood, Missouri, home during the night of June 26, 2019. Neighbors reported hearing an argument followed by gunshots. Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible shooting at the residence on the 1200 block of South Harris Road and found Alcorn in a bedroom; she had suffered multiple gunshot and stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her dog was also found shot in the room.

As deputies approached the property they saw a vehicle attempting to leave; the driver, identified as Dana C. Jones, led officers on a brief pursuit that ended when his vehicle left the road. Jones was taken into custody at the scene. The investigation quickly focused on him as the primary suspect in Alcorn’s death.

What details about the night of June 26 might help explain how this argument turned fatal, and can anyone who was in the Greenwood area that evening add information?
