Eddie Michael Thomas was 25 and a resident of Taylors, South Carolina, when he was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds on the evening of September 6, 2018. Authorities ruled his death a homicide.

Investigators identified three people known to Thomas as suspects. More than eight months after the killing, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office announced arrests: Candiss Marie Robinson, then 37, and cousins Devageo Talley, 24, and Jonathan Antwan Talley, 25. All three were charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Investigators say Robinson and the Talley cousins were in a gold Chevrolet Tahoe, persuaded Thomas to get into the vehicle, and that an exchange inside the car prompted Thomas to jump out and try to flee; at that point all three are said to have opened fire, fatally wounding him.

Robinson was held at the Greenville County Detention Center and was denied bond at a hearing where the victim’s sister was overcome with grief and had to be removed. The Talley cousins were already in custody in Spartanburg County on unrelated charges and were awaiting transfer; Jonathan Talley was later denied bond. The victim’s mother spoke in court about the pain of losing her son.

If anyone knew Eddie, his movements that night, or saw a gold Chevrolet Tahoe in the Taylors area on September 6, 2018, please come forward with information.
