On the morning of August 12, 2019, 28-year-old Drevon Jamal Williams was shot inside his home in the 5600 block of Shelbourne Road in Halethorpe, Maryland. A call to Baltimore County police came just after 6 a.m.; officers found Williams on his bedroom floor with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced deceased.

Investigators say three Black men forced entry through a back door, went straight to Williams’s bedroom and shot him, then fled in an unknown vehicle. Others were in the house, including two small children, who were not physically harmed. Detectives described the incident as a targeted attack and offered a reward for information leading to an arrest.
