A domestic dispute in Forestville, Maryland, ended with the death of 51-year-old Brenda Collington on January 18, 2007. Police were called to the apartment on the 7200 block of Donnell Place by one of Brenda’s sons. Officers found Brenda shot and pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators quickly focused on her husband, 53-year-old Lawrence Collington. Police reports say he admitted shooting his wife during the argument; he was taken into custody and charged with her murder. Brenda’s obituary described her as a wife and loving mother, and her death left family and the community mourning.
