Kevin Hardy, 37 and a resident of Palmer Park, was shot and killed on the morning of November 30, 2006 in Landover, Maryland. Hardy was seated in his silver sedan on Greenleaf Road at about 7:20 a.m. when a man on a bicycle approached. An argument broke out and the bicyclist produced a handgun, firing at Hardy; Hardy’s car crashed into a parked vehicle as he attempted to drive away. Hardy was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
Police arrested 23-year-old Herbert Roosevelt Sidbury later that day near his home on Greenleaf Road and charged him with first-degree murder and using a handgun in the commission of a felony. At trial a year later a jury found Sidbury guilty, and on October 19, 2007 he was sentenced to life in prison; that conviction was later upheld on appeal.
If anyone knew Kevin Hardy or saw activity on Greenleaf Road that morning, please share what was seen or heard.
