I can't stop thinking about the role Eric Carroll played in the lives of those kids he coached. It's just so devastating to think about how the Sunshine Little League kids must feel without him there. From what I've read, he was not just a coach but a mentor and father figure to so many of them. You can't underestimate the impact someone like that has, especially in communities where positive role models might be lacking. My heart goes out to all those kids and their families who depended on Eric not just for baseball guidance, but for so much more. I hope they can find the support they need to get through this incredibly difficult time.
