Eric Carroll, a 26-year-old Little League coach from San Diego, was tragically killed on July 17, 2022, following an altercation at a liquor store on Federal Boulevard. The incident began as a dispute inside the store, which escalated when Carroll stepped outside. Ryan Stewart, a convicted felon and active gang member, confronted Carroll, pistol-whipped him, and then shot him in the head.
