Corey Deshawn Cooper, 39, was shot and killed on May 6, 2021, in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Deputies responding to a three-vehicle collision on the 10800 block of Church Street around 6:30 PM found Cooper dead in his car from a gunshot wound. Investigators say he was shot while driving, lost control of his vehicle and collided with two other cars; the other drivers were not injured.
Detectives identified a white Jeep as central to the investigation and traced it through databases to Anthony Spennato, 40, and Beth Ullom, 39, both of Rancho Cucamonga. The Jeep had been sold about two weeks after the shooting but was later linked back to the suspects. On April 28, 2022, Spennato was arrested and charged with murder and Ullom was arrested and charged with being an accessory to murder.
Authorities reported that Cooper and the suspects were not known to each other, raising the possibility the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident. Did anyone in Rancho Cucamonga or Moreno Valley see a white Jeep acting aggressively on May 6, 2021?
