Does anyone else think that the lack of video surveillance in the area where Ernesto Ruiz Martinez was killed is really puzzling? It's wild to think that even in 2015, a busy avenue might not have had cameras that could’ve captured some useful footage for the investigation. This shooting happened in broad daylight, and you'd expect some security cameras or even smartphones could have caught a glimpse of the suspects or the vehicle. It’s beyond frustrating that technological resources we often take for granted seem to have played no part in this case.
My heart really goes out to Ernesto's family, knowing there hasn't been much progression over the years due to the lack of evidence. I wish there could be more pressure applied to local businesses or homes in the area to check their systems, just in case something was overlooked. Even though it's been a few years, maybe something will eventually turn up to help bring his family some peace.
Hey everyone,
I was reading through the details of Ernesto Ruiz Martinez's case, and I can't shake the thought of how this happened in broad daylight. It really makes me wonder about the environment in that area back in 2015. Were there known issues with safety or gang activity around Garner Avenue during that period? It's unsettling to think that someone could be chased down and shot on a busy street without anyone being able to intervene or help identify the suspects.
I feel for Ernesto's family and friends, having to deal with this uncertainty and lack of answers for so long. It must be incredibly frustrating to know that there were potentially many witnesses, but still, no significant leads have surfaced. For those who are familiar with the area or the situation, is there any talk about increased measures to prevent such tragedies, or support for communities affected by violence? Let's hope someone comes forward soon with the information needed to finally bring justice for Ernesto.
