Nghia Tan Pham was 16 when he was killed in a car-to-car shooting on Interstate 15 in San Diego on February 13, 2000. Pham was driving southbound when one of several shots struck him in the head. The shooting followed a series of earlier confrontations that began after Pham accidentally bumped a man with a pool cue at a San Diego pool hall; that fight continued days later at a coffee shop and, about a week after the pool hall incident, ended with the fatal shooting on the freeway.

The case went cold for years before investigators identified a suspect, 23-year-old Phong Huynh, and arrested him in Helena, Montana. The prosecution described the killing as retaliation for the earlier altercations. Several trials and appeals followed.

Did anyone who knew Nghia, or who was in the pool hall or coffee shop that week in February 2000, see something that could help fill gaps in the timeline?
