Does anyone else find it incredibly alarming how easy it seems for someone to slip a firearm past security at such a busy place like the Clevelander Hotel? ? I can't even begin to imagine the terror that must have been felt by Dion Moore and everyone else there when things escalated. From what I've read, the hotel has beefed up its security since this tragic event, but it makes you wonder what kind of protocols were in place before. Dion sounded like such a dedicated and hardworking person, just doing his job, and his life was taken far too soon. I hope his family finds some peace knowing that the community stands with them. I really hope the hotel continues to work on improving the safety and security for all employees and patrons so nothing like this ever happens again.

I keep thinking about Dion Moore's brother, Derrick, and the unimaginable pain he must be going through right now. Losing a twin is like losing a part of yourself, and I can’t even begin to imagine the heartbreak and emptiness he must feel. Dion sounded like such a stand-up guy, dedicated to his job and loved by those around him. I read that Derrick called his brother a "hero," which shows just how much Dion was respected. It’s devastating that he was taken from his family in such a sudden and violent way. I’m also angry and confused as to why Burris carried a gun when he was just trying to get into a nightclub. It’s just senseless. I hope the community can come together to support Derrick and the rest of Dion's family. I think it’s important for them to know they’re not alone and that people care about what happened. If anyone is aware of any support funds or memorials set up for Dion, please share them here. We should do what we can to help keep Dion’s memory alive.
