Has anyone else been following the case of Anthony Scott? It's such a tragedy to see a young life end like this, no matter the circumstances. I've been thinking a lot about the role that desperation and poor decision-making can play in young people's lives. It's particularly sad for the families involved, as they all have to deal with the aftermath of that one night. While Anthony's actions were wrong, it doesn't change the fact that his family lost a loved one. It's also important not to overlook Najah McNear and the trauma she must be going through after being caught in the crossfire. Her recovery journey is likely to be long, both physically and emotionally. I hope that as the investigation continues, the focus remains on finding out all the details to ensure everyone affected can find some sort of closure. Let’s not forget that we should give thought to their families who now have to navigate the complex outcomes of this incident.
