Shelwanda Riley, 26, was found dead on July 29, 2018, inside a home in the 400 block of North 28th Street in Fort Pierce, Florida. Relatives discovered her body; she had been shot and was last seen alive two days earlier.
Riley was a mother of four; one infant had died at three weeks old earlier that year, and three surviving children, ages one to three, were placed in the care of her sister, Toni Smith. Family members described her as caring and generous, and she had been training in cosmetology to try to build a better future for her children. Detectives conducted door-to-door canvassing as part of the investigation, and police asked the community for information.
The case remains open and unresolved, with few public details released. If anyone has information that could help investigators, can you contact the Fort Pierce police?
