Just came across the case of Clifford Dean Van Gorden, and it's really stuck with me. It seems he was an incredible person who served in WWII and had a long career in law enforcement. I can't help but think about the immense pain he must have felt in his final days due to his cancer. It's such a reminder of how chronic illnesses can profoundly impact someone's mental health. He must have been loved and respected by those around him, and I really hope his family finds some peace knowing he was a celebrated member of the community. The fact that he left a note suggests he made that decision consciously, perhaps wanting to ease the burden on those he left behind. My heart goes out to anyone who knew him. It's a heavy burden to bear losing someone in such a tragic manner. Thoughts and prayers are with Clifford's family and friends.
