On the late afternoon of Sunday, August 21, 2022, gunfire was reported on Neese Street in Eastman, Georgia. Officers arrived at 6:36 p.m. and found a car crashed into a tree. Inside the wrecked vehicle was 21-year-old Za’Quon Brown of Oglethorpe, who was deceased from a gunshot wound. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called to lead the homicide probe.
