A passerby found 55-year-old Timothy Keith Williams on a Macon sidewalk in the early hours of April 17, 2021, near the intersection of Columbus Road and Hortman Avenue. He had sustained a gunshot wound to a lower extremity. Emergency responders took him to a nearby hospital around 2 a.m., but he died about half an hour later. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office treated the case as a homicide and opened an investigation.
In September 2021 investigators announced arrests tied to the shooting. Two men were charged: 20-year-old Rahkon Howard and 29-year-old Andre Davis. Authorities say Williams was shot during an armed robbery. At the time murder charges were filed, Howard was already jailed on unrelated charges from a July arrest for a March armed robbery at the Houston Avenue Grocery. Davis was arrested in September and was charged with murder, armed robbery, and a parole violation from a separate case.
Did anyone in the area around Columbus Road and Hortman Avenue see or hear anything the night of April 17, 2021?
