Freddie Wallace was 24 when he was shot and killed on the evening of February 13, 2021, in Savannah, Georgia. Police responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 11900 block of White Bluff Road and found Wallace with life-threatening gunshot injuries; he was taken to a hospital and later died. Witnesses reported seeing two males flee the scene, and detectives said early on they did not believe the shooting was random.
An arrest followed the next month. On March 26, 2021, 19-year-old Xavier Dennis was charged with murder, and a second man, Cameron Blige, was also identified and charged; court records state Blige was on probation at the time for a separate felony involving firing a gun near a street. Both defendants were later convicted by a Chatham County jury of felony murder and received life sentences with the possibility of parole; Dennis also drew an additional five-year concurrent term. Both have filed appeals.
If anyone witnessed the shooting or has information about Wallace’s movements that night, please share what is known.
