Jamun El Winslow was 20 when he was found dead of gunshot wounds on February 5, 2020. Gwinnett County police were dispatched shortly after 10 p.m. to a person-shot call at a Shell station at 1515 Pleasant Hill Road in an unincorporated area of Duluth. Officers did not find a victim at the pump and searched nearby.

A short distance away, at 3740 Club Drive in front of the Grande Club Apartments, officers located a disabled silver passenger car in the roadway. Inside the vehicle they found Winslow, who had succumbed to gunshot wounds. Investigators believe the shooting occurred at the gas station and that Winslow may have tried to drive away before crashing.

On the following Tuesday, two 19-year-old women from Lilburn, Silvia Najarro and Jayce Villafana-Diaz, were arrested and charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the death. The investigation remains active; anyone with information is asked to come forward.
