Late on Friday, September 13, 2019, 27-year-old Lamarcus Marc Brown was found dead inside a silver Nissan Altima near Davis Drive and Jackson Street in Milledgeville, Georgia. A passerby reported the vehicle in an unusual position, partially on and off the road; law enforcement found Brown slumped over in the driver’s seat with multiple gunshot wounds. The Baldwin County Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, determined Brown had likely been shot at a different location before his car was moved to where it was discovered. Detectives had responded to a shots-fired call the night before about half a mile away but could not initially confirm a link. Authorities asked the public for information about Brown’s movements in the 24 hours before his death.
