Kyle Cook, 29, was fatally shot on the evening of January 7, 2019, in the first block of Chatham Street in Savannah. Police were dispatched about 9:35 p.m.; officers found Cook with gunshot wounds and EMS transported him to Memorial Medical Center, where he later died. The Savannah Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit opened an investigation.

Law enforcement asked the public for help identifying those responsible and set up the Violent Crimes tip line and CrimeStoppers for anonymous leads, including a possible cash reward. As reported, no suspects had been publicly identified and no arrests announced while the investigation remained ongoing.
