On the evening of February 27, 2015, firefighters responding to a house fire on R.W. Jones Road in eastern Sumter County, Georgia, found the bodies of 33-year-old Dallas Freeman and his mother, 54-year-old Bonnie Freeman. Both had sustained gunshot wounds, and investigators determined the deaths were not caused by the fire. Authorities concluded Dallas was likely already dead when Bonnie arrived at the shared home and that Bonnie had interrupted an apparent robbery in progress.
Both victims had been shot multiple times outside the residence, their bodies dragged back inside, and the house set ablaze in an apparent attempt to conceal the killings. A stolen gun safe belonging to Dallas was identified as a primary target; other stolen items, including a television, tools, and Dallas’s pickup truck, were later recovered. Arrests followed and multiple people were charged in connection with the case, including 17-year-old Ruhemmeion King and Demetrious Hubbard; Ruhemmeion King later pleaded guilty and received consecutive life terms plus additional years. Does anyone have information about activity near R.W.
