Robert Charles Green IV, 50, was fatally shot at his home in Harvey, Louisiana, on July 17, 2020. A United States Marine Corps veteran who served from 1989 to 1991, he was described as a husband, father, and grandfather and was known as Pumpkin.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office says the shooting began during a domestic dispute that escalated after an argument about Chinese food. Deputies found Green with multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators identified a suspect at the residence; authorities arrested and booked Green’s son on murder charges, and say the son fired his weapon until he emptied it.
