I find myself thinking about the role parties play in these tragedies. It's so unfair how a night that should have been full of fun and laughter for Demonte Ziegler and everyone else attending ended in such devastation. My heart goes out to Demonte's family and friends; I can't even begin to imagine the anguish they're feeling. I hope that those who were there the night of the incident, especially the 12 people who stayed behind, can find the courage to come forward with any bit of detail that might help the investigation. It's often the smallest piece of information that can unlock the truth. We have to remember that there are people in the community who truly care and want justice served. I’m praying that the authorities can gather enough evidence to piece together exactly what happened and bring closure to those left behind.
