Steven James Coutee, 48, of Vidor, Texas, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on October 29, 2015. He was remembered as a country boy who enjoyed hunting and fishing and as someone big-hearted and willing to help others. He is survived by his wife Theresa Scott, children Blake Coutee, Megan Martinez, Jessi Elliott, Gwendolyn Scott and Kenneth Scott, plus grandchildren and extended family.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigated and determined his death was the result of foul play. Several individuals were questioned during the probe, but no arrests were made shortly after the initial investigation and the case remained open. Investigators continued to seek leads amid difficulties from limited evidence and witnesses.

Did anyone in Vidor or the surrounding area have contact with Steven around late October 2015 or information that could help move this case forward?
