Has anyone else looked into the role of hospital staff during the investigation into William Dale Archerd's crimes? I find it so troubling to think about how Burney Kirk Archerd's death, as well as those of Zella and Mary Brinker Arden, went undetected for so long. It makes me wonder how many people either missed the warning signs or were completely fooled by Archerd's facade. I can’t imagine the guilt some must feel in hindsight, knowing that someone they worked with was capable of such evil. It’s also heartbreaking to consider how Burney, just 15, never had the chance to grow up because of someone he likely trusted. My thoughts go out to all who were affected by these tragic events and especially to Burney’s family, who had their lives turned upside down by someone who should have been a protector, not a predator.
