Shalileha Alford was 30 when she was found with at least one gunshot wound at a Studio 6 motel in Tucker, Georgia, on the morning of April 15, 2025. DeKalb County police responded to reports of gunfire around 7:45 a.m.; Alford was taken to a local hospital and later died of her injuries. Reports indicate the shooting began inside a motel room and may have continued outside.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage and other evidence at the scene. Within days they identified a suspect, 37-year-old Antonio Watson, who was arrested on April 18, 2025, and charged with malice murder. At the time of the arrest the motive and any relationship between Watson and Alford had not been disclosed as the investigation continued.
