On the evening of March 5, 2025, 22-year-old Justin C. Moore was shot while riding as a passenger on Radium Springs Road in Albany, Georgia. The Albany Police Department opened a homicide investigation and confirmed another person was in the vehicle with Moore during the shooting, but investigators described the motive and circumstances as unclear in the days that followed.

The case cooled over the following months. By February 2026 the department said there were no new leads; Justin’s death was one of 11 of Albany’s 24 homicides in 2025 that remained unsolved at the start of 2026. A $5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. No arrests or suspects have been publicly identified.
