On the afternoon of March 10, 2025, 19-year-old Darius Gaston-Garner was found with a gunshot wound on River Park Drive in Lexington, Kentucky. A 12:45 p.m. call brought officers and emergency crews; Gaston-Garner was rushed to a local hospital but died of his injuries. Detectives opened a homicide investigation and asked residents to check surveillance footage as they worked to reconstruct the events.
Weeks later investigators identified two men, 21-year-old Faezon Odom and 20-year-old Tyrese Ingram, as primary suspects and charged them with murder. Cell phone data placed both near the scene around the time of the shooting. Two sets of .45 caliber shell casings were recovered; ballistics testing linked one set to a gun Odom had used in an unrelated incident. Odom was already in custody on other charges when served with the murder warrant, and Ingram was arrested in Louisville and held for extradition to Lexington.
If anyone has information about Darius, the shooting, or surveillance from River Park Drive around midday on March 10, please come forward.
