In the early morning hours of October 22, 2022, the life of 15-year-old Benjamin Amarie Overton, a male resident of Port Wentworth, Georgia, was tragically cut short. At approximately 1:01 a.m., the Port Wentworth Police Department received a 911 call reporting shots fired in the vicinity of the Wood Meadow Apartments, located at 1133 Coldbrook Station Circle.
Upon their arrival at the scene, officers discovered Benjamin lying on the ground near the 200 building of the apartment complex.
