Patricia Ann Jackson, 58, was fatally shot on March 19, 2025, in the parking lot of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital on Hennessy Boulevard in Baton Rouge as she was leaving work, one day after her birthday. She was inside her vehicle when she was shot multiple times following a verbal altercation and later died at the hospital where she worked.

Police identified 60-year-old Roland Domino as the suspect and say he had gone to the hospital to fill out a job application and began arguing with Jackson in the parking lot. That same evening officers located Domino on the Mississippi River Bridge with a gun and took him into custody; arrest records show he was booked on charges including second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. Jackson’s son said his mother had not been in a relationship with Domino for 40 years, though police initially reported they had recently reunited.
