Hey everyone,
I recently stumbled upon the case of Genaro "Nado" Garcia, and it struck me how his story gets lost amid the broader narrative of cartel-related violence. What I find particularly chilling is how his death is a testament to the overwhelming and pervasive nature of organized crime in areas like Fresno back in 2011. It's devastating to think about how many lives were caught in the crossfire during that period.
Does anyone here know more about how Project Delirium might have influenced the situation in Fresno beyond the arrests and drug busts? It seems like a massive undertaking, but I'm really curious about the local community's response and the impact it had on reducing violence, if at all. Nado's life—and so many others—seemed to be shadowed by this larger struggle against the cartels. All my thoughts go out to his family and friends who had to deal with such a tragic loss amidst this storm.
Would love to hear more insights or personal experiences if anyone has them to share.
Take care, everyone.
