I've been following the case of Mitch DeLaRosa, and like many of you, I find myself deeply unsettled by the circumstances surrounding his passing. Something that's been on my mind is the role community support plays when something like this happens. San Angelo is a tight-knit place, and in times of tragedy, it really shows. The candlelight vigil and fundraiser demonstrates how everyone has pulled together to support Mitch's family. It's a testament to the kind of person Mitch must have been; someone who left a lasting impression on those around him. The fact that people, from city leaders to neighbors, have come together in this way speaks volumes. It's a reminder of the importance of community in healing and seeking justice.
