Trinity Staten was shot and killed just after 2:20 a.m. on October 14, 2025, outside a Mobil gas station in St. Louis’s North Riverfront neighborhood. She was 29 and had celebrated her birthday five days earlier. Police say she had been arguing with her boyfriend, 31-year-old Jeremie Northcross, and had called a Lyft to leave. As Staten entered the rideshare vehicle, Northcross allegedly circled the car on a bicycle and then opened fire. Security footage from the gas station captured the moments before the shooting.

According to authorities, the Lyft driver, who was not injured, rushed Staten to a nearby hospital, but she later died there. Northcross was taken into custody at the scene; police say he admitted to the shooting during an interview. Investigators reported finding 9mm ammunition in his vehicle and recovered ballistic evidence from a 9mm handgun at the scene. Prosecutors have charged Northcross with first-degree murder and armed criminal action, and he is being held without bond. During a court appearance he shook his head at Staten’s family and denied doing it.

Does anyone have information about Trinity’s last movements that could help clarify what happened that night?
