Antoine Myers, 19, was shot dead on May 2, 2026, in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Authorities say the shooting followed a pre-arranged cellphone transaction that began at a Walmart in Fort Pierce and moved to the Town Center at St. Lucie West. Myers was shot in the head and died; his 19-year-old companion, Jermonti Johnson, suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was expected to recover.
Police say the meeting had been used as a pretense for a robbery. The Port St. Lucie Police Department identified three suspects quickly. Within 24 hours two people were arrested: 18-year-old Sharlett Nylav Key of Port St. Lucie, described as the driver, was charged with robbery with a firearm, obstruction of justice, and accessory after the fact to attempted murder; and 19-year-old Martravious Aaron Blue, Jr. of Fort Pierce was charged with attempted second-degree murder, robbery with a firearm, and grand theft. The alleged shooter, 18-year-old Norrien Casminski of Fort Pierce, was reported at large and described as armed and dangerous; a multiagency search including the U.S. Marshals Service took place.
Antoine Myers’ family and community were left reeling by a death that began with what was alleged to be a sham transaction. Anyone who was at the Walmart or Town Center that day or who has information about the sequence of events is urged to come forward.
