Has anyone else been looking into John Henry Jackson's life before everything unfolded with Juan Corona? I find it incredibly tragic how this man's life, starting from being abandoned as a baby, seemed to be so full of challenges. Working as a farm laborer must have been tough under any circumstances, but to meet such a fate is absolutely awful. It makes me think about how vulnerable some of these men were, perhaps not having strong family ties or support systems, which might have made it easier for someone like Corona to take advantage of them. I've been wondering about what kind of precautions, if any, were in place at the time for farm workers like Jackson. Did they have anyone looking out for them, or were they simply left to fend for themselves? It’s a chilling reminder of how dangerous transient life could be back then. My heart goes out to Jackson and all the victims who didn't have their stories told until much later, and to their families who must have been so devastated by these revelations. I'm glad justice was finally served, but it's hard not to feel for those who lost loved ones in such a horrific manner.
