On the afternoon of August 17, 2026, Quentene E. Williams, 33, known in Milwaukee’s rap scene as Funny $Money, was shot and killed inside a recording studio in a commercial building near North 31st Street and West Cameron Avenue. Williams and fellow rapper Dequaiseon D. Evans, known as Lil Sheisty, were both found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene; investigators later determined Williams had been shot four times.

Authorities identified Kelven Kayin Harris as the alleged shooter. According to the criminal complaint, Harris had been invited to the studio by Evans; an argument over a family dispute escalated, and Harris told investigators Evans took a handgun from his waistband. Harris said he grabbed another firearm from a counter and opened fire, then shot Williams when Williams moved toward or tried to grab a Draco-style gun. Police recovered eight .40-caliber casings at the scene and a Glock .40 later recovered from a river; forensic analysis tied that gun to the casings. Harris was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree reckless homicide while using a dangerous weapon; the counts include dangerous-weapon allegations and remained pending.

Williams’ family and Milwaukee’s music community mourned his death; relatives recalled his devotion to music and family. Does anyone have information about Williams, the studio, or events that afternoon that could help investigators?
