It's hard not to feel a chill when thinking about Angel Carlick and the kind of person she was. Her story echoes deeply, especially when considering the incredible resilience she demonstrated by trying to create a better life for herself and her brother. One aspect that really stands out to me is her role at the Blue Feather Youth Centre. She not only dedicated her time to helping out but also became like a pillar for the kids there.
As someone who ran the dinner program, she was nurturing in the most genuine sense—feeding not just their bodies but also their spirits. It's heartbreaking that someone who was such a beacon of hope and support for others was met with such a tragic fate. I often think about the kids who must have felt her loss deeply; she was likely one of the most positive adult influences in their lives.
Does anyone remember how her work at the Youth Centre has been carrying on without her? Or if they've dedicated anything in her honor? It's so important to keep her memory alive in the place where she poured so much love and effort. My thoughts are with her family and all those young lives she touched.
