Dr. David D. Voss left Arkansas on August 11, 2000, for a weeklong vacation in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. He checked into his hotel that night and emailed family on Saturday, August 12, saying he had arrived safely and planned to go scuba-diving. He rented diving gear that day and returned it later; on Sunday, August 13 he rented equipment again for the remainder of the week with the understanding he would return it before his flight home on August 18.

David Voss was never seen or heard from after Sunday, August 13, 2000. His diving equipment was not returned, and all personal belongings — credit cards, wallet, cash, and airline ticket — remained in his hotel room. The rental Jeep stayed in the hotel parking lot. He was not reported missing until August 19, after he failed to return to Clarksville, Arkansas. Local authorities and Coast Guard personnel searched nearby waters and beaches after the report, but found nothing.

Does anyone have information about David’s movements on or after August 13, 2000, or remember seeing him in St. Croix that weekend?
