Malik Scott was 16 when he was found shot to death in Robert E. Williams Memorial Park at Milwaukee and Adelaide streets on July 4, 2009. He had been walking his dog in the park when he suffered a gunshot wound to his torso and was discovered dead there.

No arrests or suspects have been publicly identified, and the case remains unsolved. Malik’s death drew a strong community response in the Hill District, with grief and calls for justice amid broader concerns about youth gun violence in Pittsburgh that year.
