Guillermo Lopez was 29 when he was fatally shot on July 19, 2012, in Houston, Texas. The shooting happened around 8 p.m. near 7900 South Loop East, in the vicinity of South Interstate Highway 610. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found Lopez with multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Houston Police Department Homicide Division led the investigation.
