A dispute in Anniston, Alabama, on the evening of August 8, 2021, ended with 38-year-old Antonio D. Williams shot in a parking area at the Constantine Apartments on Elm Street. Officers found Williams about 7:00 PM and he was taken to Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center, where he died of his injury.

Police say a physical altercation occurred between Williams and another man just before the shooting. Investigators identified 56-year-old Larryl Jerod Gaston of Anniston as the person alleged to have shot Williams. Gaston was later located, taken into custody without incident and booked into the Calhoun County Jail; the charge was initially homicide and later upgraded to murder with bond set at $60,000.

This was the second Anniston homicide in a month reported to have arisen from an argument that escalated to gunfire. If anyone saw the confrontation at the Constantine Apartments or has information about what happened that night, please come forward.
