Davanta Anderson, 22, was shot and killed on the campus of Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in the early morning hours of Monday, March 9, 2020. The shooting happened between about 3 a.m. and 5 a.m.; Anderson was not a student at the college but his death led to class cancellations while the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit opened its investigation.
Investigators quickly identified and briefly took into custody a person of interest for questioning, but no formal arrest followed. Reports from the investigation say significant issues of self-defense were raised; all known witnesses and individuals involved were located and interviewed and the person of interest was ultimately released. There is no indication that charges were ever filed in connection with Anderson’s death.
Does anyone have information about that night on campus or observed activity around Stillman College between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. on March 9, 2020?
