On the evening of April 3, 2019, Trevion Alexander Marks, 21, was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in the passenger seat of a vehicle on the 6600 block of Tensaw Court in Fairfield, Alabama. A second 21-year-old, Deshawn Ferrez Jackson, was discovered in the driver’s seat; both men were pronounced dead at the scene at 8:58 p.m. after first responders arrived following a 911 call at 8:37 p.m.

The deaths were treated as a possible double homicide and investigated, but the case later went cold. The detective originally assigned to the investigation retired in 2019, and no suspects have been publicly identified or arrested. Little else has been reported about motive, witnesses, or physical evidence.
